Over my three years of Scratching, I have come across many projects worthy of fifty-twelve features and a banner ad across the top of Scratch.mit.edu.
Well maybe not quite thaaaaaaaat much... but I've certainly found some notable projects, or seen them on the front page... you may recognize one or two of them, but at least now I shall list them in my favorite order.
As a note, I have not included games which are mockups of professional games, for anyone wondering why Finlay_Cool's mariokart reproduction is not on the list. :P
Number five:
"The Ghunough 2 - The Elemental Crystal" by Will_Wam

This platformer has it all - endless levels, great difficulty curve, helpful notes, bosses, and powerups.
As you travel on your quest for the Elemental Crystal, you face many enemies...
This project is one of my favorites mainly because of how long it entertained me, the storyline, and because not for one second did I want to quit and lose.

This game is an amazing mix of puzzle and skill, and even comes with its own level editor!
As you make your way through a maze of obstacles, you must avoid getting shot, avoid spikes, and avoid falling off the platform!
Although in the end, I was defeated by the difficult levels, the professional graphics along with the overall experience was enough to earn this project a spot in my favorites.

This is quite a unique game featuring a cloud leader board, nice graphics, and quite a lot of difficulty...
The objective of this game is to get your ball to the goal by controlling paddles to bounce it around.
This game ate quite a few hours of my time. I mean, um, I totally didn't get addicted to it and I most definitely didn't use up more than ten hours mastering it... just ignore my top scores. xD

"Creature" by -TheDoctor-
One of the most realistic games on Scratch, if not the most, Creature is a thrilling horror type game that is also completely appropriate!
In this game, you play as the son of a scientist who studied the Creature. Your goal is to retrieve the book, your father's research.
Although around fifteen minutes in game play, this game feels and looks like real life and is a breathtaking experience all-around.

And the winner is...
"Burrow Blitz" by griffpatch

This puzzler by griffpatch provides hours of fun with its many levels. Its graphics are great and the level design is practically perfect.
You are the Scratch cat, who must collect all of the coins without getting trapped, squashed, or caught by enemies.
The combination of skill, strategy, and luck is what pushed this game to the top of my list.
